The MAPS Committee will start recruiting for the next academic year in October 2023.
Are you a new or returning student completing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology? Do you have questions about degree planning, clinical work, research, or graduate school? By registering to become a mentee, you will be matched with a graduate student mentor from Concordia’s Psychology program in a small group with other students in your year. There are monthly suggested topics to discuss (i.e., graduate school applications, applying to research labs, etc.).
*You do NOT need to be a mentee to attend the MAPS workshops. The mentorship program is most helpful if you would like personalized advice.

What is a mentee with the MAPS Mentorship Program?
Who can be a mentee? Any undergraduate psychology student at Concordia University can be a mentee (i.e., BA, BSc, Neuroscience)!
What do mentees do? As a mentee, you have a number of resource available to you: FIRST, you are placed in mentorship group for the full academic year (September to April). This means that you are matched with a graduate student and a number of your peers. Your mentorship group offer both “mentor meetings”, where you meet with your graduate student mentor, and “peer meetings”, where you can set up your own meeting with your peers. SECOND, you also have access to the MAPS Workshops! Check out our page to see a list of upcoming workshops.
What are my responsibilities as a mentee? As a mentee, you are expected to keep in touch with your mentor and try your best to attend meetings. You are also responsible for scheduling and/or attending peer meetings that students in your group decide to organize. Lastly, you are also responsible for reporting to MAPS if you have any issues or concerns within the mentorship program, or if you no longer wish to be a mentee with us.
